Ruth Akontoh

“Ruth Akontoh brings a wealth of experience and dedication to the Kerry K Foundation. Holding a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Ruth currently works as a teacher at Primrose School of Plainfield. Her journey with the foundation began in Ghana, where she served as Executive Director of the Ghana branch for 4 years. During her tenure, she oversaw the successful donation of over 2,000 pairs of shoes to communities in need.

Lisa Patton

Lisa Patton is so pleased to be joining the Kerry K Foundation. Lisa is currently working as a Teacher-Librarian and Social Justice Instructor at the Latin School of Chicago. She has recently returned to the United States with her husband and son, after 22 years living overseas. Lisa has taught in international schools in Turkey, Guatemala, Singapore, Nigeria, and Zimbabwe.
These experiences abroad broadened her global perspective and helped to deepen her commitment to civic engagement.

We envision a future where all children, regardless of their disparities, have equal opportunities in reaching their fullest potentials.
